Australian citizens can now travel to Chile again without a visa. A new decree by the Chilean government, which came into force on 17 September 2025, lifts the previous visa requirement, which had been in place since December 2019. Australian citizens can now stay in the country for up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes, with the option to extend their stay once for an additional 90 days if required.
