On Tuesday (30 September), the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (EDA) issued a travel advisory for Madagascar, advising against all tourist and other non-urgent travel to the country with immediate effect. This decision was made in light of the protests that have been escalating in the capital Antananarivo and other cities since 25 September 2025.
