After being announced for a long time, the South African authorities gave first impressions of the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) on 18.09. In mid-October, the ETA is to facilitate entry for travellers requiring visas for the G20 summit. This applies to travellers from China, India, Indonesia and Mexico and only applies to entry via Johannesburg (JNB) or Cape Town (CPT) airports. Furthermore, the government plans to extend this offer to other nationals of these mentioned countries, although implementation is not expected until 2026.
